Dead battery on Craftsman 6300 generator
1-had to replace trickle charger as I didn't know if it had quit working
1-had to replace the battery it was dead, I have had it for 10 yrs. so can't complain, now replacing the battery was somewhat complicated, first I had to remove the 7 gal. gas tank, then there was a metal plate over the battery (the way the battery sits in the gen. does not allow a person to simply disconnect it and pull it out), so then I had to loosen the metal plate on top of the battery holder enough to allow the battery to lift over a lip where it sits, after that it was just a matter of slipping it out and tighten up the plate, replace the gas tank and test it, I was surprised when it started up (evidently the battery was on a full charge when shipped), then it was just a matter of plugging in the new charger and mission complete.

    Part Order
I'm not really sure why it took 11 days to get here. The part eventually made its way to Fredericksburg after going from Utah to NE to KY to GA to NC to Martinsburg, WV. Seems like the long way around to me. If sent directly, should have been here in 3-4 days max.

    Customer Service
Haven’t received the part as of yet. My part said that via tracking it had been delivered. However the part wasn’t on my porch. After reviewing security cameras we realized the FedEx truck never arrived when they said it did. I called the customer service desk at ereplacementparts and spoke with Kristen, she never hesitated for one second to give me a refund on the part plus the shipping and tax. I was able to reorder the part and hopefully FedEx can get it right this time. Excellent customer service, I will be doing business here in the future as the need arises. Thank You ereplacementparts and Kristen. I only wish FedEx had the same level of service.
