    Great Parts, Quick Service
I ordered several parts to repair my 20+ year old Makita Palm Sander. The price was great, as was the service, and the quality of the part. Works just like it did when brand new. Thanks.

    Repair my Mikita finishing sander
I watched their video on how to replace this part and it was well worth it. I fixed a $40 sander for $4. Can’t beat that.

Plastic around the center hole on the base broke after years of use.

Instructions were provided on the eReplacement website.

The old countersunk head screw was difficult to remove after years of being in place. I had ordered a replacement along with a replacement base anticipating that difficulty. The longest part of the repair was removing the old screw. I used penetrating oil to loosen the threads over a couple of days but that didn't work. Eventually, I drilled a small hole in the screw head and used a screw removal bit (extractor bit) to back it out. That gave much more leverage than a Philips head screw driver which stripped the top.

After that, it was easy. Remove the parts held on by the screw, replace parts, and attach new base. Follow instructions provided on website. They are very detailed.

The base plate where the bearing sits was shredded to pieces.

Screwdriver, Need something to stop it from spinning

Removed 4 screws holding down the pad. Unscrewed the bearing. To unscrew the bearing you will need to stop it from spinning. Then place bearing into the new base. The fit is tight, so I got the bearing as close to the bottom as I can then I screwed down the bearing to seat it. Unscrew it to replace the 4 feet/cushions. Then screw down the plate to the body.
