Replacing the starter pulley on an echo trimmer The Facts

String trimmer out of whack? It's time to face the fix. Whether you are a legendary landscaper or a weekend weed whacker, eReplacementParts.com provides the parts, procedures and facts you need to fearlessly fix what fails you.

The starter pulley consists of the metal housing, the starter pawls, and the pawl springs. Eventually, the starter pawls will wear down, and will need to be replaced. The pawl springs are also susceptible to periodic breakage. While it is possible to purchase and replace each of these components individually, replacing the entire pulley assembly is an easy and economical way to restore all of them at once. This article provides step-by-step instructions for removing and installing the starter pulley assembly on an Echo SRM-225 trimmer.
