This is a genuine Coleman bottle made for kerosine lanterns. It has a plastic body and lid with an adjustable brass nozzle specially designed to fill the Pre Heater Cup (part # 201-5101). Kerosine needs to be at a higher temperature than other fuels in order to combust. The cup is preheated by filling it with alcohol with the bottle; the alcohol is then ignited and burned until it is almost gone. The cup is then hot and it will raise the temperature of the kerosine that passes through the generator (where the Pre Heater Cup is located). This bottle is sold individually.

Took the lantern carefully apart. Removed the burner assembly. Carefully removed the old generator. Gently blew out the burner assembly. Replaced the generator and reassembled the burner assembly. Replaced the mantle. The lantern burns so brightly that you can hardly look at it. You must be extremly careful when replacing te generator to make sure the small tip end of the generator is not bent. Take your time with that.

Lantern did not come with a generator, jamb nut, pre heat cup and alcohol bottle.

1. Dismantled the tip end of the lantern
2. Installed the generator and jamb nut
3. Set the top end of the lantern with the preheat bottle back on top of the lantern
4. Tightened everything down
5. Fueled, pumped and light
