This is a genuine Presto replacement part, it is sold individually.
The purpose of the 09907 Pressure Canner Sealing Ring/Air Vent is two-fold.
The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the Pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot.
In the event if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the Air Vent will pop out of the lid releasing the excess pressure in the pot.

If you could resubmit your question with the model number from your canner, we would be happy to verify if this is the correct part for it. According to the Presto website, the model number may be found stamped on the bottom of the body, on the side of the body just below the body handle, or on a tag on the cover. Removed the old ring. Cleaned the area in the lid where the ring is placed. Inserted new ring, removed the old air vent and replace with it with the new one.

I removed the old seal from the lid, then clean the slot that the seal had been in. I then pressed the new seal in the lid. Then popped the old vent out and installed the new vent.

1. Removed the steam gauge with an adjustable wrench and replace with the same wrench.
2. Used pliers to replace air vent.
3. Just inserted the sealing ring.
