This is a manufacturer approved replacement part used on a variety of lawn and garden equipment engines. This filter adds a second layer of protection against airborne-dirt particle ingestion. This is a foam pre-cleaner which is sold individually. Please note a paper filter and a cover are both sold separately.

No tools are needed to replace this filter.

• Remove the filter cover
• Take out the old filter and replace it with a new one
• Secure the top cover

The engine on my garden tractor would only run smoothly with the choke pulled out half way

Watched youtube videos of carb repairs for my tractor and engine. Disassembled the air filter housing and removed the choke cable from the carburetor. I removed the top of the carb and replaced the needle valve. I cleaned out the carb body but did not remove the carb from the intake manifold. I reassembled the carb top with new gaskets supplied in the kit. Reinstalled the air cleaner with a new filter and pre filter foam. I swapped in the new spark plugs and it started right up and runs with the choke all the way in! Job done!

1. replaced the air filter and outer sponge.
2. replace fuel filter
3. used push not to secure the bolt on flapper.
4. i had a oil filter ordered and my Briggs & Stratton engine did not require one.

Lawn mower loosing power and will die going uphill

1. Took air filter out.
2. Spayed carb cleaner in the carb to loose any buildup.
3. Crank the engine, with engine running spray carb cleaner to clean the intake system.
Note: if engine is not turning over keep spraying carb cleaner into the intake while cranking the engine. After a while let it rest and try again.
4. Replace fuel filter and spark plug.
5. Install new air filter.

Needed routine maintenance.

1) Drained the engine oil
2) Removed the old oil filter
3) Replaced the oil filter
4) Fill the crankcase with new oil
5) Removed the ail cleaner cover
6) Removed the old air filter and pre filter
7) Installed the new pre filter onto the new air filter
8) Installed the new air and pre filters
9) Installed the new air filter cover
10) Start and ran the engine until warm
11) Let the engine cool and verify the oil level
12) All done, all good

1. Opened air filter container
2. Removed air filter
3. Wiped out air filter container
4. Installed new air filter and prefilter
5.Replaced air filter container cover, and secured both locks.

Carb rebuild

Carburetor was leaking fuel. Ordered kit and installed. Installed carb back on engine and attached linkage, choke cable, fuel line. Installed new air cleaner filter and pre filter. Kit and instructions were easy and precise.
