2. Removed gas tank, along with disconnecting 3/8” fuel line from carburetor.
3. Removed old fuel filter and shutoff valve by prying off grommet from gas
Tank using a wide flat blade screw driver. Be careful not to damage the plastic
Gas tank with the screw driver.
4. Installed new grommet onto new fuel filter/shutoff valve assembly using a
Small amount of WD40 as lubricant for ease of slipping the two pieces together.
5. Twisted new grommet with fuel filter/shutoff valve into gas tank. Make sure the
new shutoff is in the same position as the old shutoff valve.
6. Install the new fuel line onto the new shutoff valve and place hose clamp to hold into
Place.
6. Install the gas tank with the new shutoff valve with fuel line back on the generator.
7. Connect the other end of fuel line to the carburetor and install clamp to fuel line to hold in
Place.
8. Partially fill gas tank with a couple of gallons of gasoline and open shutoff valve and
check for leaks around the grommet fitting, shutoff valve and at fuel line to the carburetor.
9. Start generator and again check for leaks while generator is running.
10. If leaks are present shutdown generator immediately and repair as necessary before
Starting generator...
11. Repeat above step until there is no more gasoline leaks.
