This aerator was sourced from the original manufacturer this is not an imitation aftermarket part. The aerator is used with Kohler faucets, and it is used to produce an even stream and prevents splashing. The aerator is threaded and does not require tools to install into the end of the faucet spout. This aerator is sold as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.

Unthreaded old aerator and threaded in new one. New aerator wasnt an exact replacement, but I was able to make it work. We'll see how long it lasts.
