The output sleeve and bearing assembly is a special part which helps to engage the backing pad.     Removed the center screw replaced the out put shaft put new screws and pad in place.

    The screws had backed out of the pad and damaged the aluminum collar that the pad mounted to.

    I removed the output assy and installed the new one. I was then able to install the pad and the repair was complete

    1. Remove 4 screws holding pad
    2. Remove 8 screws holding dust shrowd
    3. Remove single screw holding bearing
    4. Remove and replace bearing

    Output sleeve and bearing assemble part screw holes were stripped so had to replace the sleeve.

    1. Took the stripped holes output sleeve/bearing assembly out. 1 screw.
    2. Put the new sleeve assembly/bearing in with the original 1 screw.
    3. Put the 4 new screws on the sleeve.
    (Recommendations: Be gentle on the 4 screws and positioned perfectly b/c if you don't....it WILL strip the holes easily.)

    Output bearing froze up

    Remove hook and loop pad.
    Remove dust collection shroud.
    While holding the counter balance weight with channel locks, remove the retaining screw and remove the assembly.
    Replace the assembly and follow directions in reverse.
