There is nothing wrong with the bowl. A friend made salsa using cilantro, and I can't stand the smell. Soaked it in everything I could think of, but couldn't get rid it, so got a replacement bowl. Was so pleased to find a spare, since my unit is several years old.

1. Existing cover would not rotate on the new bowl to depress the interlock.
2. Determined that plastic guides molded on the top of the new cover were too thick or too long to allow the existing cover to rotate.
3. Used Dremel tool with cutting bit to remove excess plastic as needed from front and rear guides.
