One post had come loose and would turn as I would adjust for thickness . This caused the planer to bind.

Parts Used
Taking the planer apart and getting down to the chain and corner sprockets was rather easy. Once I figured out what had caused the problem I unbolted the planer from the table and turned it over and tightened the allen screw under the base that holds the post in place . I checked the other 3 post and all were tight.With the chain off you can adjust each sprocket individually. Getting the planer set and aligned with the table was a bit of a problem. There seems to be no exact way that I could find so used a mike and set all four post the same distance from the plate. This is not an exact science because the only adjustment you have is in the teeth on each corner sprocket and moving the sprocket enough to still fit the chain is sometimes more than you really want .It was a rather slow process but it worked .
