This is a genuine OEM replacement part, it is sold individually.
The purpose of this washer is to act as a spacer between the chain sprocket and as a friction barrier on the chainsaw models shown below.

    Put sprocket , washer and retaining ring on pruner --I had apparently lost retainer ring --this piece was important to keep everything in place

    Wrench Set

    Remove the tension on the chain. Then remove the chain cover. remove the old chain. Then remove the retaining ring from the shaft. And remove the worn washer and put the new one on, then the retaining ring. Install the new chain. Replace the chain cover , then adjust the chain tension accordingly.

    Sprocket came off and was lost. Circlip was apparently missing.

    1. Slid the new sprocket and thrust washer on the motor shaft.
    2. Used the circlip pliers to install the new circlip
    3. Reassembled the chain and tensioner.

    1. Removed the side cove and the blade.
    2. Removed the snap ring washer.
    3. Replaced the broken sprocket, the washer and the snap ring.

    Lost sprocket washer and retaining ring in bushes could not find

    Take chain cover off ,put new sprocket with retainer ring holding it and washer. Put chain back on guide and adjusted slack on chain. Ready to go . Worked great. Started cutting tree again.

    Pole saw needed a new chain sprocket

    1. Removed the cover
    2. Installed the washer on the shaft
    3. Installed the sprocket on the shaft
    4. Installed the retaining ring
    5. Re-installed the chain
    6. Re-installed the cover and torqued the nut
