2. Remove old drive belt.
3. Install New Belt.
4. Install New updated belt guard bracket.
Craftsman self-propelled mower drive belt had broken

2. Removed front drive belt cover bolt from top of mower with nut driver and removed cover.
3. Placed drive belt around front drive pulley and threaded belt through rear pulley access area.
4. Raised carburetor side of lawnmower, to allow access to mower blade.
5. Removed mower blade with impact driver and socket.
6. Disengaged front clips of pulley cover (but was unable to find a way to remove cover) and
had to rotate cover to slip belt over cover and onto rear pulley. This was the only time
consuming part of the repair.
7. Replaced pulley cover clips and replaced mower blade.
8. Slipped belt partially onto front pulley and rotated blade, by hand, to allow belt to feed
completely onto front pulley.
9. Returned mower to upright position.
10. Replaced front pulley cover and reattached with previously removed bolt with nut driver.
11. Reattached spark plug wire.

1. Drain gas and oil.
2. remove plastic belt drive covers, top and underside. Underside just remove the two screws to loosen.
3. feed belt onto pulleys.
4. replace covers.
5. test for function.
Cable.
1.take pics or cable routing and attachments.
2. disconnect both ends of cables, Z pins.
3. install new cable at bothe ends.
4. secure routing with zip ties.
5. test for function.
Refill gas and oil.
