Cut the zip ties, 3 of them.
Turned the machine on its side.
Removed the protective cover on the base of the machine
Removed the pulley mechanism
Disconnected the speed control spring.
Pulled, removed cable from deck.
Inserted new cable thru deck up to the handle.
Connected cable to handle bar area.
Connected spring to plastic wedge adjustment.
Replaced cover.
Tightened everything.
Made sure blade was tight.
Started up and checked out the shifting.
Did not make any difference until I readjusted the feral at the handle bar.
Once adjustment was made at the handle bar I then had all for forward speeds.
