It is an identical fuel return line that delivers the excess fuel back into the tank from the carburetor. Over time these lines may become brittle and will crack eventually requiring a replacement. Simply removed old fuel lines and grommet replaced with new parts and it runs perfect and does not leak.
One note that is important is to insert fuel lines into grommet first then you can cut lines to length after putting grommet back into your tank.
