Most difficult was getting the rusted screws and nuts loose to free the burner tubes and electrode igniter.
Might suggest squirting penetrating oil or a bit of WD-40 on the screws and nuts prior to wrestling them loose? Also, since it's not mentioned on the website I suggest you purchase new "cross-over" tubes and install them at the same time. Overall, an easy fix that perhaps gives me another 10-years with my beloved grill!!

Whole burner assembly was rusted starter tube broke in half.
Because of age of grill I removed the front panel to pull back the gas nozzles. This part was unnecessary but did allow easier install of tubes. I did have to drill out two of the mounting screws as they were rusted in place and would not break free even an impact driver and wrench could not break it free. After preparing the install it went smoothly and works better than new.

Rusted gas tubes and carry-over tubes.
1. Removed cooking grates.
2. Unscrewed gas tubes and carry-over tubes.
3. Removed tubes. Gas tube removal is a little awkward, but tubes can be pulled out from firebox with some persistence. Electrode must be unscrewed and removed from the gas tube.
4. Inserted new tubes into the valves on one end and secured opposite end with screws. Reattached electrode to gas tube.
5. Attached carry-over tubes to gas tubes.
6. Replaced cooking grates.
7. Installed grease clip and cup.

Old burners rusted out.
Had to drill out old rusted burner screws and replace with new burners and crossovers tubes. Not too bad of a project if you take your time and keep track of the position of the parts.

  • Easy repair, worked as expected.
When I placed order, I was informed there would be a delay because of items being out of stock as well as Covid 19 shipping issues. But since the delay was expected it was no problem. All parts were received in couple weeks and repair to B.B.Q. was a snap, everything went together perfectly.
