This is a Trigger type trigger switch that has internal terminals, a heat sink and 2 leads, one of them attached to a battery connector. This genuine DeWalt replacement part is sold individually.
Switches are commonly replaced parts in power tools. A switch handles on/off and variable speed functions. They also have a role in electric breaking; they can momentarily reverse electrical polarity.
