Broken Thermal Relief Valve

This part is aluminum and if it's broken in moving, you will need a torch to heat up the housing to melt the thread sealant and a easy out is a must if the valve is broken at the housing.

Replaced thermal relief valve

Remove & replace the old thermal relief valve. (The old valve developed a pin hole leak.) Easy, the old one threads out and the new one threads right in. No need to use plumbers tape.

There was no pressure to my gun

I watched your you tube video and replaced the pump.They instructed perfectly! I was glad I bought the thermal relief valve as my model didn't have one and wasn't sure where it went as per the diagram. The new pump required one. I fired it up and it works like new.

I used an adjustable wrench to remove the old valve, and tighten the new valve.

Relief valve was missing when I tried to use the machine

Online parts diagram showed where pressure relief valve was supposed to go. With it missing, it was obvious why about half of the water was spraying out the threaded hole anytime water was turned on.
Screwed in new valve and all works fine now!

Pump wasn't working.

1. Disconnect spark plug. Removed the three bolts that connected the pump to the drive shaft at the bottom of the pressure washer. Disconnect soap tube.
2. Slid the old pump off.
3. Screwed the new thermal relief valve onto the pump (make sure to use a sealant on the valve before screwing it in.
4. Line the drive up with the new pump and ensure it lines up and fits in correctly.
5. Replace three bolts and tighten.
I didn't, but if you have soap in the dispenser, you need to clip the hose disconnect.

Thermal relief valve broke

The valve got bent so remove the rest of it from inside of the pressure washer and there was enough thread left on the original part that I was able to put it back in there so the part I ordered is still in the bag as an extra
