  • Right parts make the repair easy
I purchased a saw from a big box store for cheap because it was missing a few parts, including this retention spring. I easily looked up the saw model, found the part using a diagram, and once it arrived, it was a super easy fix. Cheap saw made better than new. Boom!👊🏻

To remove the guard. Remove the blade bolt, blade and both the outer and inner washer. Then if you have snap ring pliers use them to remove the snap ring, if you don't have the pliers you can remove it with a small screwdriver. Notice how the spring is attached to the lower guard and upper guard. Remove the lower guard then replace it and the spring. Then replace all the other part in reverse order.
