  • Exact replacement for my U6485-900
The switch was identical and fit without modification. I used closed end crimp nuts (available at HomeDepot), just like the originals used. It is an easy repair.

Replaced the switch on Hoover upright Model #U6439-900. The original switch was obsolete so I purchased the recommended alternative 2 wire switch. I had to enlarge the mounting hole with a file to fit it into place. I cut off the old wire connectors and used wire nuts to attach the 2- wires. Everything works fine!
