Product Description ?

It is an authentic part that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Ryobi drill-drivers. The purpose of this switch is to control the on/off function of the tool, unfortunately, over time components will wear out and may begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this item. Keep in mind this high-quality plastic body switch is sold individually.

Drill was smoking from the trigger area and sparks. Was not turning as it should .

Screwdriver, Pliers, Soldering gun

Removed the battery
Took out all of the screws from the housings
Removed one housing half
Used a solder gun to removed the solder from the existing switch, then removed it
Soldered on the new switch wires
Made sure all of the wires were in the correct spot
Screwed the housings together
No more smoking or arcing

1. Took the drill housing apart with a screwdriver.
2. Unsoldered the existing trigger switch.
3. Inserted the replacement switch and soldered it in place.
4. Reassembled the drill housing.
5. Used the drill immediately.

trigger assembly would intermitantly work

UNsoldered the old connection to the trigger group
REsoldered the new one in place
