Product Description ?

This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Black & Decker electric edgers. The switch is used to relay electricity from the cord to the motor. Over time switches can wear out and a worn switch usually prevents the motor from starting up. This switch is sold individually.

    Simple Repair
    Edger would not start. Wires had worked loose from trigger assembly. Old trigger no longer held wires securely. Edger now working like new.

    trigger switch was bad and broken wire on motor

    2) unplugged old switch and plugged in the new one

    the trigger switch failed to deliver power to motor

    Pliers, Socket set, Torx bit

    1. Unplug the Black & Decker EdgeHog trimmer from electrical outlet
    2. Remove the top half of handle by removing the Torx screws from the plastic housing
    3. Remove wiring from switch while noting how wiring is run and how white and black leads attach to trigger switch.
    4. Insert black and white wiring into new switch in the same manner as in Step 3.
    5, Rerun wires as originally run in the groves inside plastic handle
    6. Snap the two handle halves into place and tighten the Torx screws back into place.
    7. Plug into outlet and test new trigger for proper operation,

    Edger switch stopped working

    2. Removed 4 screws from switch.
    3. Installed new switch...no screws...push in wires.
    4. Put handle back together.

    1. Took the screw off.
    2. Disconnected the wires.
    3. Replaced the part.
    4. Put the wires back on.
    5. Put the screw on.

    Remove the screws from the switch housing. Note how the old switch is wired. Disconnect the wires from the old switch and connect them to the new switch. Replace the switch handle
