A piece of wood being cut caught the sub fence which was in a folded up position and broke the cast aluminum sub fence

No special instructions for this one. Just unscrew the retaining bolt holding the broken sub fence and replace it with the repair part, which was easy to locate and fast to be delivered at a reasonable fee.
