Product Description ?

This stopper holder in your miter saw, located in the turn base, is responsible for controlling the movement of the stopper. The stopper is an adjustable feature that allows you to lock the miter saw at specific angles, ensuring precise and consistent cutting. If you find it difficult to adjust or lock the stopper in place, it could be damaged or worn out, and it may need to be replaced. To access the turn base for replacement, consult your user guide for disassembly instructions. You will need a screwdriver and a socket or wrench. Separate the upper turn base of the miter saw from the lower base and remove the old stopper. As you reassemble your machine, install the new stopper holder. Please keep in mind that this OEM replacement part is sold separately from the stopper.

Stopper holder had stripped threads preventing tightening up the miter function and the other plastic parts were cracked and damaged.

I Separated the upper assembly of the miter saw from the base and removed the stripped stopper. I put in the new replacement and as I was reassembling, I simply put everything back together with the new replacement plastic which was the easiest. Everything fit perfectly and with the replacement parts, the saw looks and operated like brand new. The hardest part was taking everything apart to get the upper assembly apart from the lower base. The stopper tightening handle's threaded rod also had damaged threads from being screwed into the stripped stopper holder, so I used the end of the rod that was threaded into the plastic handle and reversed it so that the new threads under the plastic handle now threaded into the stopper holder and the damaged threads now threaded into the plastic handle. Not as critical and the stopper holder threading. Works as new now. I also replaced the plastic safety cover over the blade since this also had some cracks and damage from misuse, although it still functioned fine.
