My gauge is not tight to prevent it from being turned. Does it need to be so tight it does not move at all? This is a new pressure canner used twice last year.

Replaced the pressure gauge, overpressure plug, rubber lid ring, and a missing canning rack. Now I have a complete functioning canner!

THESE WEREN'T FOR A RICE COOKER!!!!! They were for a pressure canner and a daily use pressure cooker!
Just remover hardened rubber parts and replaced. Then also replaced pressure gauge on canner and both got new gaskets. Very easy repairs. Bought extra rubber gaskets to have on hand because can't find them close to me. Just used screw driver and pliers. Parts were easily switched just had to make sure new pressure gauge was good and tight.
