This replacement starter assembly is designed for use with Echo backpack blowers. It is an authentic item that is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. This assembly allows user to pull-start the blower. It includes a plastic housing, starter pulley, recoil spring, pull rope and the grip. Please note, the hardware to secure it is not included, it is sold separately.
You will need a hex key also known as an allen wrench to complete this repair.
• Remove the housing screws
• Remove the old assembly
• Secure the new starter assembly with the hardware

3. Pushed cord into cylinder through spark plug hole to facilitate removal of pawl assembly.
4. Used pliers to unscrew old pawl assembly ( one pawl).
5. Screwed on new pawl assembly (two pawls).
6. Removed cord from cylinder.
7. Installed new starter assembly.
(New starter assembly included new pawl assembly with two pawls.)
