Broken starter rope return spring
Disassembled the trimmer cowling. This was the hardest part. Old spring pops out, new spring module pops in. Adjusted the pull tension of the rope by stressing the spring, blocking the pulley and restringing the rope. Reassembled the cowling. Watch out for the Kill Switch wiring, that tries to drift into the screw holes between the plastic moldings. Reassembling is the most time-consuming because of maintaining alignments of multiple parts.

Starter rope wouldn't retract
Removed housings to access starter recoil spring, undo off switch leads.
Removed two screws holding rope reel and spring housing in place.
Popped out starter spring housing, and replaced it with new starter recoil spring in housing, being careful not to let spring pop out.
Replaced the starter rope, which simply required tying two knots.
Wound rope onto reel, and reinstalled in housing.
Wind tension into starter reel.
Reinstalled two screws.
Replace housing, connecting off switch leads.
All screws are either 20mm or 25mm Torx.
Included instructions were somewhat helpful for rope wind direction, but other than that it was an relatively easy repair without them.

The starter spring became weak and the starer pulley did not hold spring in place.
1. Removed all screws to outer casing.
2. Put in new starter spring and pulley.
3. Wound new rope and left excess.
4. Reinstalled all components.
5. Tested and then cut excess rope off to appropriate length.
6. Made a video of me clowning around with blower running since nephew worked on it for some time and never got it running!!! lol

Starter rope would not fully retract.
1. Separated throttle/switch assembly from trimmer shaft.
2. Removed string trimmer shaft. After removing one screw and loosening the clamp, the shaft simply pulls out of clutch/motor assembly
3. Removed plastic engine covers and clutch assembly. Clutch assembly must be removed in order to remove starter housing. Make note of where the screws go. Different lengths, some are machine screws.
4. Removed baffle that captures the starter assembly. WEAR EYE PROTECTION is case the spring is broken and has become dislodged.
5. Replaced parts along with a new rope (original rope was frayed causing binding).
The starter spring is pre-wound inside of a metal shroud. It simply drops into place without any hassle. No tension adjustment required.
Make sure that the starter assembly works freely before reassembling the entire string trimmer !

Fortunately, I found a YouTube video that was very similar to my application.

Worked great, it did take some time to get but the wait was worth it due to the fact I needed it because they do not make this gas powered leaf blower anymore and I did not want to let it die, it still did have a lot of life left in it.
