The right part for a 40 year old Echo blower
I had and still do love a blower my brother gave me over 40 years ago. My brother owned a landscaping company and bought Mega Blowers. So, after years of use of this little Echo blower, he gave it to me. Everyone said I would never find 40 plus year old parts to fit my honey pie blower. Wrong ! Got exactly what I needed from eReplacementparts

Part does not fit gt200a. The exploded diagram said the part no. Would fit but after three trips to the lawn mower shop, he finally canabilized a spring out of a much newer model. Would like to return part for a refund.
Would have liked to have used this part but it would not fit. Arrived quickly in good condition.

Replaced recoil spring in this 30 yr. old GT-100.
    >Remove 3 screws holding muffler cover
    >Remove other 2 screws holding starter assy. & remove. Nothing will fall out.
    >Remove center screw holding spool, and remove broken spring underneath.
    * Remove the outer cage around the old spring if it did not come out with it.
    * New spring already has that cage around it. (New part must seat all the way down.)
    >Hook new spring's center end to spool & place back into housing.
    >Make *SURE* new spring seats fully. Re-install center washer & screw holding spool.
-- You may test it at this point. Starter rope should pull smoothly and retract OK. --
    >Hold dog on trimmer's flywheel up and re-install the whole starter assembly.
    >Install all screws (including muffler cover.)
    Go trim grass!
