Stuff nylon rope into the spark plug socket to prevent shaft rotation. Make a special tool to remove old drum-clutch. Drill 3 holes in a plate on a 5/8 diameter circle and press in 3/16 dowel pins in to make a 3 point spanner. Use a large wrench to turn the plate. Or buy a special tool made for this purpose, You will definitely need the tool to remove the drum clutch. Once you have the clutch drum removed. The rest of the repair is straightforward.
