This is an authentic OEM component from the Skil manufacturer. The plastic spacer is made for use with the 3410 (F012341005) Table Saw. This protective part is fitted between the front plate and the bracket. A screwdriver and a hex key are often required for the replacement. The spacer is sold individually.

The table saw top and motor needed to be disconnected from the saw body.
The only difficult part was putting the saw and motor assembly back into the guide rails. The concept is not technical it's just awkward handling the saw and motor assembly and fitting it back into the angle adjustment guide system. If one unwired the motor from the chassis the reassemble would be easier.
