    Missing pin and pin cap

    Tool Type

    Grinder

    Difficulty

    Hard

    Time

    30-60 minutes

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Nutdriver

    1. Removed lock nut and disk flange
    2. Removed grinding guard
    3. Remove gear housing screws and remove gear from housing using a flat head screwdriver and that's how you get to the pin slot.
    4. Remove old pin if there's any.. check pin and gear sometimes when you're missing the pin cap the pin got stuck in gear and if you hit the trigger.. sometimes the pin mess up the gear in that case you gonna need to replace gear also..
    5. Insert new pin in slot make sure you put the old (if it still good) or new O-ring on pin before inserting it.
    7. Hold pin with finger .
On external side of pin slot insert compression spring on pin then set pin cap on top of pin and compress with fingers.. until pin cap is stable to make it go all the way in I used a nut driver that fit on pin (bottom side) and another nut driver on the other side it's really hard this step takes me about 30 mins to complete but I'm sure there's something better than 2 nut drivers.. anyways it is the hardest part I've replace on an angle grinder.. good luck I hope this help you.
