Questions & Answers for Sensor Assembly

My oven LED screen come up with E01. What is the problem and power cord ground pin is broken. What part number can I buy to replace. Please let me know. Thanks
Viny for model number BOV800XL asked on 2023-03-22
Hello Viny, Thank you for your inquiry. This can be caused by a number of different issues with the inner workings of the toaster oven. The most common cause is an issue with the thermistor or thermal fuse. The thermistor is a small sensor that measures the temperature inside your toaster oven. When it?s working properly, it is able to tell the toaster oven when to heat up and when to stop so that your food gets cooked at the right temperature. The thermal fuse is part# SP0022078. You can test both parts with a multimeter. Good luck with your repair.

My oven suddenly stopped heating. The display lights up and seems to functioning okay. The oven no longer heats. Could it be the thermostat. If so what is the part number. Or could it be something else. Thank you.

We were getting AN ERR 01 message. Repair center wanted $100+ just to look at our Breville oven. $11 part fixed the problem and saved our $300 unit. Very happy and I'm a hero at home.
Removed the many screws for the back cover and you'll have to access the sensor. Removing and replacing the insulation was not straightforward. When I found the sensor wires and the mounting (on the inside of the oven) it was all downhill from there.

Breville B0V800XL Convection Smart Oven: Thermistor Replacement for E01 Error
The part was NEARLY what I needed and I was able to make it work with a little extra effort. The thermistor portion of the assembly was perfect and interfaced perfectly with the interior wall of the smart oven. The part that was not perfect was the connector end of the assembly. As seen in this picture, the connector is white (and it appeared it would interface with the white connector counterpart on my smart oven), unfortunately, when the part arrived, it had a black connector (which was unable to interface with the white connector on my smart oven). Luckily, a quick trip to home depot and the purchase of some "22-16 AWG Butt Splice Wire Connectors in Red" allowed me to cut off and swap the black connector out with the white one. After installation and reassembly, I was able to repair the $280 smart oven with ~$15 of parts/shipping + my time. Totally worth the effort!
