Tentioner screw was bent

The first rule of chainsaws: NEVER loan your chainsaw! It will return with something broken; a chain, or a bar, or in my case the chain tensioner screw. -A part NOT available at your local Home Depot or Lowes. -No problem though. My part arrived in short order and the repair was simple. -And I saved at least a $75 repair bill from the local guy. Just unscrew the old, and replace with the new. I would order the other part that attaches to the screw and replace both out of general principle though.

Chain kept falling off

Took the chain cover off. Removed old parts and installed new parts. Very simple fix. The only problem was the parts shown for my model and serial number were wrong so I had to order the correct parts. I had to look at different model numbers to find the correct parts

Guide bar bent. Tensioner screw and nut replaced

Took old bar off
Replaced tension screw and nut
Replaced new bar
Put on new chain
Replaced nuts to hold bar and chain on

Loosened the tension on the blade and the bar
Remove the blade and bar
