This scraper blade is intended to be used with snow throwers from Ariens. The scraper is a direct replacement of the original that would have been included when the snow thrower was new. This part attaches to the bottom rear of the auger housing assembly. This part is used to collect snow and ice so that the auger can propel the snow through the chute. A hex wrench or ratchet is needed to install this part.

Make sure you replace this scraper blade before it wears down so much that the bolts holding it on are now wearing against the ground surface. It will be difficult to gt these nuts off if.

Parts Used
Use a socket, wrench, or adjustable wrench to remove nuts from 5 bolts securing the scraper blade to the housing.
If the bolts and or nuts are worn or rusted you should replace those with new ones from a local hardware store.
This scraper blade does NOT come with new nuts and bolts.
