Screwdriver, compressor but not needed.
The velcro face on the platen wore out and I replaced it.
Remove the 5 screws and replace it. If you have a compressor plow the dust off to help increase the life of your sander. Maybe.

The Velcro wore down, replaced the Velcro plate
1. Remove bottom screws
2. Swap out plate.
3. Replace screws.
