Hello Larry, thank you for your question. This issue issue commonly due to the engine fuel air mixture system is out of adjustment. Please refer to your Manual or Spec sheet for the correct specifications. We are pleased to have been able to help.

The soap and the flow from the pump hose to the soap container has reversed. While the flow should flow from soap container to sprayer hose, the water flows into the soap container.

Hello Randall, Thank you for your inquiry. Where the soap hose connects to the pump will be a check valve a ball and spring in most cases. This check valve is not working, may be gone, or is stuck and not closing. The valve has to close on the pump's pressure stroke and open on the suction stroke. Locate the valve and check it. Good luck with your repair.
