Hi there-- I have a Rotozip Rebel with the cut off attachment, however, the saw blade in the cut off tool no longer spins when the Rotozip turns on. (Rotozip seems to work fine without the cut off attachment on.) Not sure if the pinion or the collet chuck could be stripped and no longer catches the gear in the cut off tool attachment. Just curious if you had seen this before. Do you sell the gear that goes into the collet nut that drives the cut off attachment?
Rob, I understand your frustration, it appears that this was a manufacturing defect in most of the earlier models rotozips, i.e, rebel and revolution. apparently Bosch bought out rotozips and discontinued making certain replacement parts. I have three of them all with the same problem "stripped gears" Fortunately after a lot of searching i found out that you can get a upgrade replacement part from Bosch for $34 that fits these models ask for upgrade ZM3.. Hope this helps
Faulty Switch Question by bob
I can`t turn off my RotoZip using its switch. I have to turn it off at the mains, could it be a faulty switch?.
Remove all of the screws holding the two halves of the motor housing together. Now split the motor halves apart. The wires are likely soldered to the switch. Snip the wires off of the switch as close to the switch as possible. Strip 1/4" of the insulation off of the wires and re-solder the wires to the new switch using solder and flux. Now reassemble the motor housings in the opposite way of disassembly.
