1, Save you old parts and compare them in length to assemble new shift rod parts.
2. Overall length should be the same, as new shift rods are of different lengths.
3. Assemble upper & lower rods together with the saved carriage bolts & wing nuts.
4. First attach upper end of shift rod to speed control lever with hair pin
5, Place motion shift to fastest forward speed.
5. With pivot attached to lower rod, hold speed control lever (from blower housing) down, to lowest position & adjust pivot so it easily enters the hole in the lever from the rear. Then insert hair pin in the small hole of the pivot.
6. Place the motion control in the fastest reverse slot & the blower lever will move upwards.
7. After starting go for a test drive.

2. Replaced the cable for the chute lock
I didn't refer to any instructions when attaching these parts, it was fairly easy to figure out just by looking at the parts and the snowblower. I did have to play around with the adjustment for the cable of the chute lock to get it to work properly. After about 3-4 attempts (about 20 minutes in total) I was able to get it just right.
