This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with brush cutters and trimmers. The piston ring is used to form separate the combustion chamber and the crankcase. The piston ring prevents combustion gases from entering the crankcase. A broken or damaged piston ring will allow the combustion gases to enter the crankcase which will cause a reduction of compression and a loss of power. This piston ring is sold as an individual replacement part.

I bought this article to fix a Hitachi CG22EAS (SLP) trimmer that was lend from one of my neighbors because he bought a new one and it was some kind not working in the right way. And I fix it to replace an older trimmer which was also not working in the right way. THE PISTON PIN BEARING BECAME BROKEN AND SOME FRAGMENTS ENTERED AT TH COMBUSTION CHAMBER CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE PISTON AND CYLINDER WALL CAUSING IN THE ESCAPE OF COMPRESION SO THE ENGINE DID NOT START.

ONCE THE WHOLE CYLINDER WAS INTALED AND THE IGNITION SYSTEM AND COVER INSTALED THE TRIMMER WAS READY TO START AFTER PUTTING SOME GAS MIXTURE AT THE GAS TANK.
