In my case, the chuck end shaft of the 90 degree off-set had broken off flush with the chuck.
I inserted the proper allen-wrench into the full open jaws and remove the retaining screw. Then insert this screw back into the "broken" shaft end piece from the outside, now lightly clamp the chuck into a vise to secure it, and using a small hammer and light taps was able to remove the threaded end of the broken-shaft that was still in the chuck. (I did this before ordering parts just in case I had to order a replacement chuck)

THE FOLLOWING WILL BE MORE DIFFICULT WITHOUT A MANUAL OR HYDRAULIC PRESS TO ASSIST YOU IN REMOVING/INSTALLING THE BEARING AND PINION GEAR.

Lightly secure the 90 degree off-set in a vise.
1: removed coil retaining ring with a small plain screw driver
2: I used vise-grip pliers LOCKED onto the broken shaft hex nut and a small hammer to pull the broken shaft from the 90 degree offset. lightly hitting the pliers with the hammer to force the bearing out of the housing. This took several attempts, each time making the pliers tighter before I managed to "pull" the bearing free from the housing. Make note of the large stainless flat washer on back side of bearing. It must go back in the same place when you re-assemble onto the new shaft.
3: I installed a small bearing puller clamp on the back side of the bearing and pressed the shaft out of the bearing with a manual press.
5: I placed the remaining shaft/pinion gear into a manual press and pressed the pinion gear off the broken shaft. (make sure to watch for the half-moon key that you don't loose it)
6: Remove the 1/2 moon key from the broken shaft and inserted it into the new shaft.
7: Align pinion key-way with the 1/2 moon key and fully Press the pinion gear onto the new shaft
8: Press the bearing along with SS flat washer onto the new shaft.
Grease any new shaft end and pinion gear that lacks grease prior to re-assembly.
9: Insert the assembly back into the offset housing using a hard plastic (or brass/aluminum etc) hammer to set the bearing firmly into position and not to damage the threads at new shaft end.
10: Insert the flat coil retaining ring to secure your assembly in place.
11: Thread the drill chuck onto the shaft end (jaws wide open) until fully seated. Secure the chuck to the shaft with the screw and lightly tighten with the proper Allen-wrench.
12: TEST the rotation of new assembly to make sure that it rotates freely without binding up.
13: re-install back onto your drill.

Disassembled right angle drill assembly.Press the gears and bears from the old spindle . Then pressed them on the new spindle. Then assembled the right angle assembly.
