Product Information

Description:

This is an original part sourced directly from Hoover. This recovery tank with lid assembly was designed to collect dirty water picked up with the carpet cleaners listed below. No tools are required to replace this part. Simply step on the handle release pedal of the vacuum and release the tank latches. The new tank can then be set in place and latched in. This item is sold individually.

Poor suction to recovery tank

After checking all other points of suction, determined that the seal around suction tank was not sealing tight enough. Cannot purchase the seal, so replacement was the only option. Installed the new tank and full function was restored. Not cheap, but certainly easy.

nothing wrong - the carpet cleaner was - and has been - working great. It's just that the recovery tank was pretty skanky after 10+ years of cleaning up after multiple dogs.

took out the old recovery tank
put in the new recover tank
all done!
