1. Removed blade guard/cover
2. Removed blade
3. Removed belt cover
4. Removed belt
5. Removed pinion shaft retaining clip
6. Removed pinion shaft by using wooden mallet
7. Inserted new pinion shaft assembly using short socket to "press fit" to saw with mallet
8. Reassemble above in reverse order
