Genuine OEM replacement part, this item is sold individually.
The purpose of the 884443 Protective Cover, is to cover the air inlet coupler, to keep dust and debris from getting inside the Nail Gun or Stapler and contaminating the internal parts.
You should cover the coupling when the tool is not being used.
They do have a tendency to wear out, it may be a good idea to have one or two extra on hand.

    Power Drill, Adjustable Wrench, Allen sockets for drill

    Disassembled nailer and found all the nylon seals crumbled. (It’s 40 years old). O-rings were good. Cleaned all parts with electronics cleaner and compressed air. Replaced two nylon seals (and the spring I lost). Lubed, reassembled and it was a win.

    No dust cover for the tool

    Removed the quick connect fitting and installed the new dust cover, and reinstalled the fitting to the tool. Voila!! Bob's your uncle.

    deflector was broken on housing cap

    Removed original housing cap.
    Move the inside parts from old cap to the new housing cap.
    Installed new housing cap on stapler.
    Test fired, stapler working like new.
    Replaced protective cover.

    Internal parts broke

    Took the nailer all apart and got on ereplacement found the parts needed, ordered them and had them in 3 days and replaced the bad parts and the stapler works like new now.
    Everything went smooth from finding the parts, too ordering the parts, to shipping and assembling the parts. Will use this company again and highly recommend them

    1. Removed 4 Allen screws.
    2. Removed the damaged o-ring.
    3. Replaced it with the new o-ring.

    Retainer was missing causing the pin that holds the trigger in place to slip causing the nailer not to fire

    1. Pulled the pin out
    2. Placed retainer into recessed hole.
    3. held the retainer in place with needle nose pliers while pushing pin back from the opposite side.

    1. Removed broken protective cover
    2. Installed new protective cover over air inlet

    Leaking air, would not work

    1. Took tool apart, full of dirt.
    2. Found problem, broken seal, and collar causing nail gun to leak air and not work.
    3. Clean entire nail gun, replace broken seal and collar.
    4. Lubricated the inside of nail gun and put it together.
    5. Put a protective cover on air disconnect to keep dirt out when not in use.
    6. Suggested to a user, lubricate with a few drops of oil for nail guns and put the protective cover on when not in use.
    7. Gun fires well.
