Replaced a pressure switch on a bostitch compressor. Had issues with my compressor not shutting off and the pressure valve would open. Replaced the switch and fixed this issue.

    Air compressor not shutting off.
Navigating the website was extremely easy. Finding the part that I needed was equally easy. Unfortunately, the pressure switch after installation did not work. The only job the pressure switch does is turn off the compressor after it reaches pressure. After installing the part, I turned on the switch, the compressor started and never shut off. I wish I could give good review, but I’m not happy with my results. I have purchased several parts for several different tools, and always had great success with the items that I purchased. Today, not so much. I think that the switch that I received is faulty.the air compressor reaches a pressure of over 160 lbs, and did not shut off. I’m a little disappointed.

I watched the video on website and followed the directions to replace the pressure switch. It was relatively easy to understand although there are a number of steps involved. After the repair the compressor worked properly. I don't think I would have been able to complete the repair based on the written instructions packed with the replacement pressure switch. I copied the link to the video.

Remove the cover and carefully remove the compressor motor assembly.Remove the two leads on the old pressure switch one from the on/off switch and the other on the motor assembly. Remove the old switch. Reverse the whole procedure to install the new switch. Make sure you close the tank valve and carefully squeeze the hose clamp with the nail nipper. Very straight forward. The new hose was longer than the old one. I would suggest trimming it to match the length of the old hose prior to installation.
