It was so easy! We literally slipped a butter knife underneath the old control knob, and it came right off. Then we lined up the new one, and popped in directly into the correct spot. Very inexpensive and easy fix!

I opened the machine by removing the back and sides panels (6 screws). Removed the Top plastic (6 screws) Remove the broken steam knob by pulling or insert something flat (like knife) between the front panel and the knob and carefully push knob out then carefully moved the front panel to the side. removed the Tap or steam assembly (2 screws) remove the metal clip that holds the plastic tubing (water supply) in place. very carful removed the "O_Ring" (unless you buy a new one) that is in the old Tap assembly this part is important or your machine will not work and leak water. Carefully remove the O-Ring from the old assembly and place it in the new assembly insert the water tubing and place the metal clip as it was in the old assembly. Re-assemble all the pieces in reverse order starting with front panel and new knob and machine worked fine....
