The tine shaft oil seal is used in tillers and is made of metal and rubber. This part is priced as an individual item, but may require two for proper installation. If the seal becomes dried out or cracked it will need to be replaced. It presses onto the sides of the transmission housing and stops oil from leaking, and may require a screwdriver during replacement. This part is an OEM from Troy-Bilt.
