The parts ordered did not fit my saw, the return was hassle free, eReplacementParts even provided the shipping label. I was very pleased with the service and I would definitely recommend them.

Easy 15-30 minutes (4 rated repairs)?

A "plunger" was missing that held the blade tight in the reciprocating shaft.

    Tool Type

    Jig saw

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    1-2 hours

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver

    1. I dropped the plunger through the handle onto the base of the reciprocating shaft.
    2. I used a long shaft, narrow head screwdriver in the handle shaft to screw in the plunger two turns and secure it at the base of the hole. (The screwdriver slid aside of the half round plunger so it could be screwed in place.)
    3. I placed the new blade in position at the base of the reciprocating shaft.
    4. With the long screwdriver, I tightened the plunger against the top of the blade.
    5. I then tested the jig saw including its variable speeds and all was OK.
