Hi Scott,

I am assuming you are referring to the retaining ring on the blade clamp assembly. The retaining ring is a multi layer design. It is helical almost like a spring. The easiest way to remove it is with a small pick, like a dentists pick. Take the pick and slide it around the face of the retaining ring until you find the lip of the first layer of the ring. Slide the pick under the lip and move the pick along under the two layers and it will lift the ring out.

This saw was honestly the worst product I have ever bought in my life. The blade comes of almost every time I use it. It's trash, not worth fixing. I am going to my truck right now to throw it in the trash and I suggest you all do the same.
