Old Primer Bulb was cracked and would not pump fuel into the carb
- Removed top cover (to access carb area and allow side panel removal)

- Removed side cover where primer bulb is located

- Remove old snap in primer bulb (without disconnecting fuel lines)

- Cut and replace the 2 fuel lines one at a time (mine were hard and brittle from old fuel)

- The new bulb has 2 fuel ports, one is longer than the other which matched the old bulb.

- Installation instructions said to double check the direction of the fuel flow (the bulb sucks fuel through the carb, so the inlet side is connected to the carb and the outlet side goes back to the fuel tank).

- Snap the new bulb into place on the side panel

- Attach the side panel

- Attach the top panel

Fuel Line needed to be replaced
Disassembled the saw casings, removed the fuel tank, cleaned out the tank, fitted new filter to the new piece of fuel line, ran it up through the handle of the saw and attached to the carburetor. Fairly simple after figuring out how to remove the fuel tank.

Deteriorated fuel lines and pump replacement
Before this procedure was replaced I pulled the carburetor off and the exhaust muffler.
You can see the piston on the intake and exhaust side with a flashlight . It is important you check to see if the piston is scarred, with carbon deposit. It should be bright aluminum or polish. The exhaust side Is more of a problem than the intake side. Once this is done put everything back and proceed to do the pump and fuel line replacement.

Replaced purge bulb, fuel lines and oil/gas caps
The most difficult part of the repair was threading new fuel lines from carb chamber into fuel tank. I recommend viewing some YouTube vids covering this repair. I repaired an ~15 yr old Poulan 16" chain saw with parts from eReplacementPart. Thanks to eReplacementParts for your help!

Primer bulb and fuel lines were deteriorated
I disassembled the cover, removed the carburetor, removed the bad primer bulb and fuel lines.

Installing the fuel line and purge line through the openings was somewhat difficult, but I was able to grab the tapered end I cut with needle nose and pull it into position.

Since the carburetor has no marking to indicate which line is fuel and which is purge, it took a bit of trial and error to figure out.

The primer bulb does have marking to indicate which connection goes to the tank and which goes to the carburetor. All parts ordered were used with no problems.

Fuel lines rotten on 2 engines.
Repaired two Weedeater type fuel lines. Weedeater Brand and a Ryobi. TAKE PICTURES BEFORE YOU START IF YOU'VE NOT DONE THIS BEFORE. Instructions say to cut to approx. length, I don't. BETTER TO BE LONGER THEN TOO SHORT. If you can remove the fuel tank and carburetor. For me, it makes it easier and slicing a wedge on any line you have to slide through the tank is a must. Install lines. Start to reinstall tank and carb pulling up slack as you go. Twist lines to fit without kinking. Make sure your filters lay in the bottom of your tanks. Finish reinstalling and trim lines ( side cut wire cutters work best for me) . Your done.

The hardest part was routing the fuel lines through the tank. The lines are larger than the hole, thus creating the seal when installed.
