This laser marker is an original manufacturer part for Hitachi compound miters saws. The laser marker comes in a plastic housing, and includes the rubber cased wires. This laser marker provides visual assistance to make precise cuts. The assembly mounts in the holder, and is held by the cover all which are located inside the hinge. The laser marker is sold individually, and does not include the holder or cover, please see diagram for parts that are sold separately.

I was lost but now I'm found..

Tricky to install without directions but works great
The laser works well but was a bit of a challenge to install without directions
I put the new one in the saw and noticed it was out of adjustment due to no Allen screws to adjust the laser to line up with the saw
Other than that it works great and was delivered one day early

1 Removed the 7 screws on the side cover of the saw to expose the wires and socket and unplug
2 Removed the screw on the back of the saw for the hold down plate and the 2 wires for the laser
3 Removed the 2 screws for the laser itself and remove it being very careful not to lose the 4 tiny springs and note were they go remove the 2 tiny allen head screws from the old laser these are for your adjustment after the laser is reassembled
4 Very carefully remove the laser pulling the 2 wires though the the socket were the laser is located set aside
5 Reassemble by reversing steps 4 thru 1
6 When the laser, wires, and cover are all back in place now your ready adjust the laser back to factory specks
